EDIT 6/21/07: Now that I've gotten the new version of Inkscape with blur capabilities, I've updated this picture with a blur effect to increase the illusion of Fracktail fading into the background and created a little effect on Dimentio's magic blast. The original can still be found here: [link]

Fracktail is the first boss of Super Paper Mario. He is an advanced robotic dragon designed by the Ancients to guard the Pure Heart in Yold Desert, and pass it on to the legendary hero when he appeared. When Mario arrived, Fracktail was ready to fulfill his duty after fifteen hundred years of waiting- until a certain little jester showed up, and with a powerful blast of magic to the dragon's weak spot, completely fried his programming! Recognizing Mario no longer as the prophesied hero, but as only an enemy, Fracktail turned on the mustachioed plumber...

I rather like this one. Especially Dimentio up there. Hehe, he looks like he's enjoying himself. He does love his magic, and causing trouble.

The random rectangles are clouds. Yes. Lineland clouds.

The whole encounter with Fracktail is very humorous. He even makes an "I AM ERROR" reference! He's a very cool boss, and I've been wanting to do a picture of him for a while. (And I'm always up for drawing Dimentio again, of course.) So here you are!

This picture is #85 in the Vector100 Project, "Spiral!" [link] I think this is the first time I actually had the theme in mind when I was working on the picture... all the others I just finished according to my own whims and then fit into a theme later XD
